Historically we have started baseball on the first Tuesday in May, however we need to delay it a couple weeks this year only. As a group of volunteers we need a little more time to get all the fields and equipment ready. Therefore our official start for the 2022 season will be Saturday May 28th at 9:00am. The longer answer is that we will have a Meet-N-Greet on Tuesday May 17th at 6:00 under the pavilion. During this time we will hand out the shirts and address any questions that parents may have.
With the exception of T-ball all divisions inter-lock with other local centres and schedules are created at a scheduling meeting. These meetings are usually held in late March or early April therefore their season start, end, and days of the week that they will play will vary.
It needs to be noted that Cottam Minor Baseball reserves Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday nights and Saturday mornings as potential home days for all divisions. Usually each division sets one of these days as their home game time. We also do not schedule any games, practices or other activities on Mondays and Thursdays as we do not want to conflict with Cottam Soccer as we recognize that some of our players may be registering for both soccer and baseball.
